We are all taking a Leave No Trace pledge: We want to ensure a sustainable future for the outdoors and the planet.

We are firm believers in LNT and will embody and practice those values on the Hotdog Hundred.

Despite dressing up like hotdogs and looking crazy, we are serious about what we are doing and plan on doing it right. All of us love the outdoors and have the privilege of experiencing its beauty. We want it to be here after we leave.

On this hike, we will be practicing the seven LNT principles to ensure we are leaving the Arizona Trail just as we found it.

  • We have planned the route carefully to ensure we are camping at designated campsites and avoiding resource damage.

  • We will always stay on trail and camp at designated sites.

  • We will be packing out all trash, including all toilet paper!

  • We will leave all areas how we found them! Unless we see trash on the trail and will be sure to pick it up and dispose of it properly!

  • We will only use campfires at designated rings and if there is plenty of wood available.

  • There will be no feeding or touching of animals!

  • Always! We know we are a large group, and we will do whatever we can to ensure others can enjoy the AZT despite us looking like hot dogs!
